Cheltenham Cricket Club Welcomes New Senior Men's & Women's Players

As the new season approaches, Cheltenham Cricket Club is excited to announce that we are actively welcoming new players to join our growing cricket community. Whether you are an experienced player or just starting out, we invite you to be a part of our inclusive, family-friendly club where passion for cricket and community spirit go hand in hand.

Men’s Teams – Competitive and Social Cricket

Our men’s teams compete in a range of leagues across all levels, from competitive matches to social cricket. We have a strong, supportive environment that encourages players to develop their skills while enjoying the camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. From our competitive senior teams to the more casual, there’s a place for players at every level.

We are blessed with fantastic facilities at The Vic with 5 outdoor all weather nets and one of the largest squares in the country. We are also lucky to have a brilliant coaching team in Luke Sellers and Stu Houghton who are both professional coaches. Training on a Thursday evening is always well attended with regularly 35 men training weekly.

The club is proud to field four league men’s teams that cater to a wide range of abilities. The 2024 season saw three out of the four teams earn promotion!

Our 1st XI currently compete in Glos/Wilts WEPL Div 2, the second highest tier of club cricket in the region and are looking to improve on last year's mid-table finish.

The 2nd XI had a fantastic season this year after being promoted into GCCL Division 1.

The 3rd XI earned back to back promotions and will be competing in GCCL Division 4 in 2025.

It was the first year in the clubs history that we had a 4th XI and they got off to the best of starts by winning their way to promotion from Division 2 East Cheltenham/Gloucester/Forest of Dean League.

Another first for the club was a 5th XI that had a lovely mix of youth and experience.
